| Program description |
The BACH program is a high-volume, multi-institutional program, graduating 1-3 fellows per year, primarily with intent and goals to nurture and mentor future full-time academic ACHD physicians. Fellowship is defined within a single year, though most recent fellows have opted for extensions to 2-3 years of protected time to complete their goals. Mentoring towards successful academic positions, clinical excellence and research careers is emphasized. |
| Research |
Clinical research within the ARCHES program of BACH is an expected and necessary part of the BACH training program. Fellows are expected to bring a desire to further understand basic or clinical mechanisms of normalcy, disease and health recovery in ACHD patients, and will be mentored to continue this pursuit of knowledge within their fellowship and further academic careers. |
