INSTITUTION: National Institute of Cardiology Ignacio Chávez, National Autonomous University of Mexico

COUNTRY: Mexico, Mexico City

DURATION: 1 year

INCOMING FELLOWS/YEAR: 3-4

Email: achd.inc@cardiologia.org.mx

The training fellowship ACHD, offered at the National Institute of Cardiology Ignacio Chávez, has a hospital floor for inpatients, outpatient clinic, intensive care unit, surgery for congenital malformations, interventional and structural procedures, heart failure and transplant clinic, cardiovascular therapy, and specialized cardiovascular imaging for ACHD.

It is directed to adult cardiologists and pediatrics cardiologists. Our program is unique in Latin America with a hospitalization service featuring an outpatient clinic, a hospital floor with 10 beds where patients are admitted for procedures in structural interventionism, cardiac surgery, heart failure, cardiac transplant, diagnosis, and treatment of ACHD. The Institute is a reference center for cardiovascular care in Latin America and worldwide, with years of experience in the management of these patients. Our fellowship program is accredited by the National Autonomous University of Mexico. We currently do not offer research scholarships. The program is open to all doctors who wish to specialize in this area of cardiology. There is only a grant/payment for Mexican cardiologists; and there is no cost from the hospital, but there are fees for the graduation process from the University. For further details on logistics and the support offered by the program and the Institute, please write to the email: achd.inc@cardiologia.org.mx

Thank you for your attention.
